JAKARTA - K-pop idol group BLACKPINK has been appointed as ambassadors for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference or COP 26, which will be held in Glasgow, Scotland in November 2021.

BLACKPINK said they understood the importance of this issue, urging fans to join the initiative.
"The first step is to educate ourselves about climate change. We need to know what is happening because it affects all of us. We want to learn more, and we hope our fans too", said BLACKPINK in a statement via YG Entertainment.
