The Samarinda City COVID-19 Task Force Wahidudin admitted that he had never issued a recommendation letter for the event.

"There has been a mayor's circular regarding crowd activities. So starting January 2021, the task force will no longer issue recommendations for such events. So if they hold it means that without our knowledge", said Wahidudin who is also the Head of Samarinda BPBD.
