JAKARTA - The Indonesian Wushu national team successfully donated 4 gold and 3 silver medals at The FISU World University Games 2021 Chengdu championship which was held in 2023. The wushu sport was recorded as the only sport as a medal contributor for the Red and White Contingent at the event.

After the women's taolu athlete Nandhira Mauriskha contributed 2 gold and the men's senior taolu athlete Edgar with 2 silver medals, now it's the turn of Indonesian Sanda athletes who also undergo Training Camp (TC) in China to show their abilities by donating 2 gold and 1 silver.

In the women's 52kg final match which took place at the Chengbei Gymnasium Chengdu, China, Thursday, August 3, Tharisa Dea Florentina, who was registered as a student at Semarang State University (UNNES), won gold after defeating Ruggieri MBV from France with a score of 2-0.

Previously, Tharisa also won with the same score over Turksoy Hancer Harriye from Turkey in the semifinals.

Tariqa's success was followed by Laksmana Pandu Pratama who appeared in the Men's 52kg class. In the final, this UNNES student buried Mehmet Demirci's impuan from Turkey with a score of 2-0.

Previously, Pandu, his nickname, eliminated Abduashitov S from Uzbekhistan in the quarter-finals and Armen Phangcai from Thailand in the semifinals with the same score.
