Truck Hit Car And Motorcycle In Makassar, One Person Killed

MAKASSAR - A series of accidents involving a truck, 2 cars and a motorcycle in Makassar City, South Sulawesi (Sulsel). A motorcyclist with the initials Mitz was killed.

"The victim was injured and died at the scene of the crime," said Head of the Makassar Police Traffic Police Ops Section, AKP Emy Hartati, to reporters, Wednesday, January 27.

The accident occurred this morning at the intersection of Jalan Urip Sumoharjo and AP Pettarani. The truck is suspected of having failed brakes.

"The four vehicles are moving from south to north. The position of the Pajero car, motorbike and other cars is in the position of the traffic lights, the lights are red," he explained.

The Satlantas Polrestabes Makassar is currently coordinating with the Makassar Transportation Agency to check the vehicle's worthiness.

"It is suspected that the tronton car had failed brakes to investigate and coordinate with the Transportation Agency for the vehicle worthiness test," he said.
