JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta City Government has prepared five sports centers (GOR) and an art building as a place for isolation of COVID-19 patients with the category of people without symptoms (OTG).

The six locations that will be used to isolate COVID-19 patients are GOR Kebon Jahe, GOR Cempaka Putih, GOR Kemayoran, GOR Johar Baru, GOR Senen, and Tanah Abang Arts Building.

Head of the Central Jakarta Health Office, Erizon Safari, said that the health workers who handle COVID-19 patients in this independent isolation location are taken from the Public Health Center (Puskesmas).

"We have prepared health workers from the Puskesmas to monitor residents who are isolating at the sports hall. The handling is the same as for those who are isolated independently at home," Erizon told reporters, Tuesday, January 26.

Erizon said that there were no officers who were specifically on guard 24 hours a day to monitor COVID-19 patients at the GOR and the art building.

However, it is confirmed that the monitoring from health workers is carried out every day until the isolation period for residents who have been confirmed positive there is complete.

"Those who are isolated in GOR are without symptoms, monitoring is not as intensive as for symptomatic COVID-19 patients. So far this has also been the case for the treatment of patients without symptoms. Although no one stands by on the spot but we certainly provide the maximum possible service," he said.

Erizon also did not mention the exact number of health workers on duty there. Because, the numbers are situational and can be changed as needed.

"The monitoring system is mobile because our health workers at the health center are limited, their duties vary from tracing to monitoring so they are adjusted to the field," said Erizon.

If later it is found that the residents who experience moderate to severe COVID-19 symptoms increase, they will be referred for further treatment at a referral hospital.
