JAKARTA - Five people were declared dead, including a pregnant woman, in a shooting incident that occurred at a house in Indianapolis, United States, Sunday, January 24 local time.
"A teenager is also in critical condition after being shot in the incident. This is the largest mass shooting in Indianapolis in more than a decade," Indianapolis Metropolitan Police (IMPD) Chief Randal Taylor told CNN.
IMPD spokesman Shane Foley said IMPD initially received a report about a teenager who was shot before 4 am. After evacuating the teenager, officers received information on the shooting within one block of the location where the teenager was found.
"There we found five people dead, including a pregnant woman with gunshot wounds. Despite the best medical efforts, the mother and unborn child could not be saved. The young boy who was shot is expected to survive his wounds," said Foley.
