Head Of Central Java Bapenda Died Of COVID, Known Well Among Journalists

JAKARTA - Head of the Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bapenda) of Central Java Province (Central Java) Tavip Supriyanto passed away on Saturday, January 23 at around 11.10 WIB.

Chairman of the Central Java Grand Mosque (MAJT) Noor Achmad expressed his condolences to the Tavip family.

"We are a family and on behalf of MAJT, the Nazhir Bondo MAS Foundation, the Wahid Hasyim Foundation, convey a deep tribute to the death of our brother, a kind official, Tavip Supriyanto," he said.

According to him, Tavip helped the MAJT and Muslim citizens a lot. "Hopefully it will become a amal Jariyah that makes him Husnul khotimah, enjoy his grave and become an expert in heaven," he said.

Tavip passed away at dr. Kariadi, Semarang, where he is undergoing treatment after being stricken with COVID-19. Among journalists, Tavip is known as an official who is always willing to be questioned.

It is planned that Tavip's body will be buried in the family cemetery in Boyolali Regency according to health protocols.

Prior to becoming Head of Bapenda, Tavip served as Head of the Community and Village Empowerment Agency for Central Java Province.

He was also appointed as Acting Regent of Magelang and Mayor of Semarang by Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo.
