JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) commissioner Hasyim Asyari responded to the question that the Ministry of Health would use KPU's data to prepare for COVID-19 vaccination for the public.
According to Hasyim, the use of data from the Voter Data Information System (Sidalih) and the Political Party Information System (Sipol) which are used for the purpose of implementing the General Election shows that there is confidence in the system they have created.

Hasyim said the Ministry of Health was not the first institution to use population data compiled by the KPU. The Election Supervisory Agency also often asks the KPU to check the names of candidates for Bawaslu members and the Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu) in Sipol.
In addition, continued Hasyim, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Kemenpan RB have also asked the KPU to help check the names of CPNS in Sipol.
"This is done in order to ensure that prospective members of Bawaslu, Panwaslu, or CPNS are not members of political parties," said Hasyim.
