JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 that rocked Southeast Maluku Regency. The earthquake occurred at 11.28 WIB.

Head of the BNPB Disaster Data and Communication Committee, Raditya Jati said that the earthquake in Southeast Maluku today did not have the potential for a tsunami and was not felt by residents.

"The Southeast Maluku Regency Disaster Management Agency reported that the earthquake was not felt in Southeast Maluku, and there have been no reports of damage or casualties due to the earthquake," Raditya said in his statement, Wednesday, January 20.
