In The Middle Of The Examination Of The Social Assistance Case, The Corruption Eradication Commission Brought PT RPI Commissioner Daning To Take Documents

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examines PT Rajawali Parama Indonesia (RPI) Commissioner Daning Saraswati, Tuesday, January 19.

Daning was examined as a witness in the case of alleged bribery for the provision of social assistance (bansos) COVID-19 for the Jabodetabek area which ensnared former Social Minister Juliari Peter Batubara.

Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri said Daning was now being taken out by the investigating team to retrieve documents suspected of being related to this corruption case.

"KPK investigators took the witness to a place to retrieve several documents related to this case," Ali said in his statement.

However, unfortunately Ali did not specify where witness Daning was taken and where the documents were taken. Ali said, everything will be delivered on time.

"We will inform the progress of the examination results further," said Ali.

Based on information, PT RPI where Daning sits as commissioner belongs to Matheus Joko Santoso, the Ministry of Social Affairs' Commitment Making Officer (PPK) who is also a suspect in this case.

PT RPI is suspected of being deliberately formed to support the Covid-19 social assistance project. This is because the company was only legalized in August 2020 or when the social assistance program was announced by the government.
