JAKARTA - As many as six detainees from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) tested negative for COVID-19 after undergoing treatment at the Wisma Atlet Hospital, Kemayoran. This assurance was obtained after they returned to running the test.

"Of the 19 KPK detainees who had previously been taken to RSD Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Tuesday, January 19, there were six KPK detainees whose swab test results had tested negative for COVID-19," said Acting KPK spokesman for prosecution Ali Fikri to reporters. , Tuesday, January 19.

Furthermore, the six people will be returned to the Red and White House KPK branch of the Rutan to serve a further period of detention.

Although six have been declared negative, from the results of the swab test carried out on Monday, January 18, there was a detainee at the Red and White KPK remand center who was declared positive.

So, as a follow up, this detainee was transferred to the Wisma Atlet Hospital this Tuesday afternoon. This transfer is carried out so that prisoners can undergo independent treatment and isolation.

Furthermore, Ali explained that the anti-gas commission continues to strive to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19 within the KPK. Various ways have been done, ranging from spraying disinfectants to implementing strict health protocols for all parties who are active within the KPK.

"Apart from that, the Corruption Eradication Commission also routinely carries out antigen rapid tests as needed," he said.

Not only that, efforts to take precautions in the KPK detention center have also been carried out, such as establishing visiting rules for legal counsel and families, increasing exercise time for detainees, and providing anti-COVID-19 kits.

In addition, the anti-graft commission also conducts regular swab tests for officers and prison guards, and periodically sprays disinfectants throughout the prison rooms.
