KPK Check Lawyers And Drivers Lukas Enembe In Jakarta

The KPK summoned the lawyer and driver of the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe as witnesses in the investigation of cases of alleged bribery and gratuities related to projects sourced from the Papua Regional Budget.

The two witnesses examined at the Red and White House in Jakarta, Thursday, were Aloysius Renwarin as a lawyer and Darwis as a driver.

"Today, the examination of witnesses for the suspect LE (Lukas Enembe). The examination was carried out at the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in Jakarta, Thursday, November 17.

In this case, the KPK has named Lukas Enembe and several other parties as suspects.

Regarding the construction of the case, the party designated as a suspect, as well as the articles suspected will be published when forced efforts are made, both arrests and detentions of the suspects.

Lukas Enembe has been summoned by the KPK investigating team, Monday (12/9), at the Mako Brimob Papua, in his capacity as a witness. However, Lukas Enembe was not present.

The KPK then summoned Lukas Enembe to be questioned as a suspect at the KPK's Red and White Building, Jakarta, Monday (26/9). Lukas was not present because he was sick and submitted a letter for treatment to Singapore.

The KPK investigating team then met Lukas Enembe at his residence in Jayapura City, Papua, Thursday (3/11), in the context of examining the case. In addition, the team consisting of the KPK doctor and the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) also met Lukas Enembe for a health check.

The KPK has also confiscated various pieces of evidence in the investigation of the case. Finally, the KPK confiscated documents related to cases, electronic evidence, financial records, cash in rupiah, and gold bullion from a search of two locations in Jakarta, namely the house of Lukas Enembe and an apartment.
