Three members of a motorcycle gangster were arrested by the East Jakarta Metro Police Precise Pioneer Team in the Buaran area, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Saturday night, October 23. The perpetrators were arrested after failing to escape when officers carried out an ambush.

When searched, officers found a sharp weapon of the type of sickle from one of the arrested men. The perpetrators were arrested after officers received a lot of information regarding reports of motorcycle gang convoys.

Then the officers carried out random patrols during hours prone to criminal acts. At the same time, officers found three riders riding when crossing the Duren Sawit area, East Jakarta.

When they saw police officers passing by, the perpetrators fled into residential areas by entering a narrow road. The perpetrators then ran scatteredly to outwit the officers.

Even so, the steps of the three perpetrators were stopped when they were surrounded by officers. The three of them were also secured.

When searched, one perpetrator turned out to have a sickle in his shirt. To the officers, the three of them were a group of gangsters who would hold a brawl in the Jatinegara area, East Jakarta. The three perpetrators were then handed over to the Duren Sawit Police.

The Head of Dalmas for the East Jakarta Metro Police, Ipda Aman, said that his party was conducting patrols in the Klender area and saw that there were 3 motorbikes riding three people. Then a chase was carried out from Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai to Jalan Buaran 1.

"On Jalan Buaran one was arrested by 1 motorbike carrying a sharp weapon. One motorbike with three rides, carrying a sharp weapon of the type of sickle. The sickle was with him, stored in a jacket," he said when confirmed, Monday, October 24.

From the results of police investigations, the three perpetrators admitted that they wanted to fight with a group of Buaran residents at the Old Station (Buaran).

"An appeal to the public, if they see or see a teenager gathering and are suspected of contacting the East Jakarta Pioneer Team," he said.
