South Jakarta Police Focus On School Asset Security, MTsN 19 Pondok Labu Installed With Police Lines

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Metro Police are still focusing on dealing with the collapse of the school wall, MTsN 19 Pondok Labu which killed 3 students, and 1 person was injured. South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Ade Ary said his party was prioritizing the security of assets and goods at the school.

"Currently we are focusing on handling victims first and securing school assets. The priority tonight is to secure the crime scene and secure assets and goods at schools and sweep the crime scene," said Ade at the scene, Thursday, October 6.

Ade also said that his party was investigating the cause of the collapse of the wall. Now the police line has been installed at the scene.

On the other hand, he and the Mayor of South Jakarta, Munjirin, will visit the residence of the victim's house. He also offered his condolences to the families of the victims and related parties.

"The South Jakarta Metro Police identification team is still working, and then we together with the Mayor will move it to Jagakarsa to express our condolences to the families of the victims," he concluded.

A total of three people were killed by the MTsN 19 wall which collapsed due to flooding in Pondok Labu, Cilandak, South Jakarta, on Thursday at around 14.50 WIB.

The wall collapsed due to the push of the Krukut River which overflowed due to rains that have hit Jakarta since noon.
