NTT - Head of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Kemenkumham Regional Office Marciana Dominic Jone said his party went down the mountain to educate students about intellectual property in five schools in Kupang City.

The activity was held in five schools in Kupang City, namely SD Negeri 1 Bonipoi School, SD Kasih Yobel School, SDK Rosa Costastica School, Giovavanni Catholic Middle School, and Citra Bangsa Christian Middle School.

"Through the DJKI (Directorate General of Intellectual Property) Teaching the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, it is in the form of fostering understanding of students about the importance of respecting and protecting intellectual property, it must be instilled from an early age," Marciana said when confirmed, Thursday, September 29.

In the implementation, said Marciana, students not only get the material presented but are also invited to directly observe the intellectual property around them.

Marciana explained, with this activity, it is hoped that students will have awareness from an early age not to violate intellectual property such as plagiarism, forgery, cheating, or using counterfeit goods that harm many people.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Citra Bangsa Christian Middle School, Jubina Ga, appreciated the activities of DJKI Teaching as a means of intellectual property education from an early age.

"We are grateful to the ranks of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of NTT for presenting the opportunity to share knowledge about intellectual property for our students," he said.

He said, educational activities like this contribute to creating a generation of people who are aware and respect intellectual property.

The head of SMPK Giovanni, Father totaling Paulus Bria, also said that DJKI Teaching activities are a valuable opportunity to equip students with knowledge about intellectual property.
