3 Motor Thieves For Menteng Fire Victims Arrested, Two Other Perpetrators In Pursuit

JAKARTA - The Menteng Metro Police have arrested three perpetrators of motorcycle theft at the semi-permanent house fire site, Jalan Cikini Kramat, RT 004 and 015 RW 01, Pegangsaan Village, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

Menteng Metro Police Chief AKBP Netty Rosdiana Siagian said the three perpetrators were currently still under investigation by the Menteng Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

"There are three reports, but a total of five. They are being investigated again in the investigation steps," said AKBP Netty, Tuesday, September 27.

Currently, the police are still developing the case to arrest two other perpetrators who managed to escape.

"It's still under development," he said.

The police chief suspected that the two perpetrators were residents who lived not far from the location of the fire.

"Maybe the people around this too," he said.

Previously, it was reported that there was a motorcycle theft at the site of a densely populated residential fire on Jalan Cikini Kramat, RT 04/01, Menteng District, Central Jakarta. A total of 7 motorbikes belonging to residents were lost at the location of the fire.

Head of RT 13 Rahman said he heard that 7 motorbikes belonging to residents were missing. The loss of the motorbike occurred when the fire broke out which scorched 21 houses.

"So, residents are busy securing their goods and putting out the fire, maybe the motorcycle thieves took place at that time," said Rahman, Tuesday, September 27.
