JAKARTA - Chairman of the Ulama Consultative Assembly (MPU) of West Aceh Regency, Teungku Mahdi Kari asked the public and students who want to express their aspirations in public, to be carried out politely.

"Submission of aspirations in public is not prohibited by the government, as long as the delivery must be carried out properly, politely and not anarchically," said Tgk Mahdi Kari, in Meulaboh, Tuesday, September 13, quoted from Antara.

He conveyed this opinion regarding the incident when conveying aspirations in front of the West Aceh DPRK Building on Monday, September 12 yesterday. In the aftermath, there were riots that caused a number of demonstrators to be injured and secured by the security forces.

According to him, the increase in the selling price of fuel recently felt heavy for the community, including public transportation workers, and the community.

However, to express an opinion and aspiration in public, said Tgk Mahdi, it must be conveyed properly, politely, politely and not damage regional assets or other public assets.

"If a problem is conveyed in a kind and polite manner, God willing (his aspiration) will be considered (the government)," he said.

However, if the opinion or aspiration is conveyed with a desire for anger, then it does not solve a problem, and it is feared that it will cause other problems.

"Submitting aspirations is the right of the people and the right of all Indonesian citizens and is not prohibited, but the submission must be carried out properly and according to applicable norms," he added.

In fact, if an activity of expressing opinions in public is escorted by police officers or security forces to the government, then this is considered better because it can avoid unwanted things.
