Temanggung Police Hold 2 Subsidized Fuel Hoarders

TEMANGGUNG - The Temanggung Resort Police, Central Java, detained AR (48) and GS (44) residents of Madureso Temanggung for hoarding diesel fuel oil (BBM). Temanggung Police Chief AKBP Agus Puryadi said the two suspects bought diesel diesel at a number of gas stations in the Temanggung Regency area using trucks. The price for buying diesel at gas stations is Rp. 300,000. The two suspects were arrested in a warehouse in the Sroyo area, Maduraso Village, Temanggung District. In this incident, the police confiscated evidence, including 8,000 liters of diesel in eight weeks, two trucks with police numbers DA 9465 AS and AA 1304 WB, a jet pump, and four plastic hoses.

He said the two suspects were charged with the crime of abusing the transportation and/or trading of fuel oil, which was subsidized by the government as referred to in Article 40 number 9 of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 11 of 2020 concerning job creation which changed Article 55 of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code. "They face a maximum imprisonment of six years and a maximum fine of IDR 60 billion," he said.

He said the two suspects were charged with the crime of abusing the transportation and/or trading of fuel oil, which was subsidized by the government as referred to in Article 40 number 9 of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 11 of 2020 concerning job creation which changed Article 55 of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code. "They face a maximum imprisonment of six years and a maximum fine of IDR 60 billion," he said.
