Today LPSK Will Meet Bharada E Regarding Justice Collaborator Revealing Brigadier J's Death

JAKARTA - The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) is scheduled to meet with Bharada Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu alias Bharada E regarding the submission of an application to become a justice collaborator (JC). The meeting will take place at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police on Tuesday, August 9th.

"At the Bareskrim at 10.00 WIB," Deputy Chairperson of LPSK Erwin Partogi told reporters when confirmed via text message, Tuesday, August 9 morning.

In addition to meeting Bharada E, LPSK also scheduled a meeting with investigators to coordinate about JC with the applicant Bharada E.

At the same time, Erwin said, LPSK also scheduled a visit to Putri Chandrawathi, wife of the former Head of the National Police Propam Division Inspector General Pol Ferdy Sambo at her home, Saguling Street, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta.

"Yes (to Putri's house)," said Erwin.

Previously, Bharada E through his attorney, Muhammad Burhanuddin, officially submitted a written application to become a JC in order to get protection from LPSK as a witness.

Burhanuddin said his client Bharada E was a key witness who wanted to reveal the real facts and reveal the perpetrators of other crimes related to him and to his knowledge.

Therefore, Bharada E hopes that LPSK can provide protection to Bharada E, either transferred to another detention or other forms of protection that will be decided by LPSK.

"So, hopefully, the justice collaborator's application will be accepted and protected by LPSK," said Burhanuddin, Monday, August 8.

Previously, it was said by the Head of LPSK Hasto A. Suroyo, that Bharada E, who had been named a suspect in the case of Brigadier J's death, could still be protected by his party as long as he was willing to become JC.

"If determined as a suspect, LPSK no longer has the authority to provide protection, unless the person concerned is willing to become a justice collaborator," said Hasto when contacted in Jakarta, Thursday, August 4, as reported by Antara.

The Investigation Team of the Special Criminal Investigation Team of the National Police on Wednesday 3 August, named Bharada E as a suspect in the murder of Brigadier J under the suspicion of Article 338 of the Criminal Code regarding murder in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.

In the case of the death of Brigadier J, investigators also named Brigadier Ricky Rizal or Brigadier RR as another suspect under the suspicion of Article 340 of the Criminal Code regarding premeditated murder jo. Article 338 jo. Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.

The plan is that on August 9, the National Police will announce the other suspects involved in the death of Brigadier J at the shelter for the Head of the Propam Police Division, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta, Friday, August 7.
