JAKARTA - PT Transport Jakarta (TransJakarta) has imposed sanctions, in the form of fines, to operators who violate standard operating procedures (SOPs) in order to achieve "zero accident" on all services.
"We do not tolerate any form of violation of operating standards that disrupts customer safety," said Head of the Corporate Secretary Division, Anang Rizkani Noor, as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 21.
This fine is given if the operator partner is involved in an accident. The fine is imposed after the company cooperates with the authorities to investigate the incident.
"If found guilty and violated, we will give strict sanctions to the operator," he said.
In addition, TransJakarta asks all operators to comply with applicable standard operating procedures and monitor their implementation closely. This policy was taken because there were indications that the operator partners had not been optimal in carrying out operating procedures.
