Acting Regent Of Bogor: Cooperative Regency Government Undergoes Re-Audit By BPK

BOGOR - Acting Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan emphasized that the local government was cooperative in undergoing a re-audit by the West Java Representative Financial Audit Agency (BPK).

"The so-called disclaimer is as if the CPC was entering a dark room, asked for an opinion even though he was dark. It's light, we welcome it, and we convey data. If you refuse, it is impossible because we are cooperative", he said quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 7.

The Financial Statements of the Bogor Regency Government in 2021 were forced to be re-audited due to a case of bribery of West Java BPK employees by several Bogor Regency Government officials handled by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Iwan also admitted that he did not grandiosely expect a reasonable opinion without exception (WTP) in the Examination Result Report (LHP) on the 2021 Financial Statements.

"WDP (reasonable with exceptions) and WTP are equally reasonable. Only if the WDP several agencies need to be addressed, for example, two or three agencies. But if the WTP is all (without having to be handled)", he said.

According to him, either getting a WDP or WTP opinion will still be a correction material for the Bogor Regency Government. He also said he was ready to follow up if there were any findings from the CPC.

"The bottom line is we will be ready whenever the findings are included in the LHP. We are ready to follow up whatever the findings are, whatever the corrections, whether it is about the rules or the circular", Iwan said.

Until now, the Bogor Regency Government does not know what and how the LHP in 2021.

"As a consequence of that re-audit, we have to wait for two times 30 days. So we are late in receiving the CPC LHP. Maybe mid-July, the important thing is that we get the LHP", he said.
