North Maluku Provincial Government Asks City Districts To Obey The Determination Of Eid Prayers On July 10

MALUT - The Provincial Government of North Maluku (Malut) requires all regencies/cities in North Maluku to comply with government regulations regarding the determination of the Eid prayer 1443 Hijri which falls on Sunday, July 10.

North Maluku provincial secretary Samsudin Abdul Kadir explained that religious affairs are the affairs of the central government which are not left to the regions.

Therefore, he said, the provincial or district/city governments must comply with the decisions that have been made in this case related to the timing of the Eid prayer 1443 H.

"The decision was made after a coordination meeting was held between the North Maluku Provincial Government, the Regional Office of the North Maluku Province Ministry of Religion, PHBI and the Shaful Khairaat Sofifi Mosque Prosperity Council," he said in Ternate, North Maluku, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, July 6.

The North Sumatra Provincial Secretariat also gave directions to the Welfare Bureau to immediately prepare a Governor's Circular to all Regents/Mayors to implement the central government's stipulation regarding the implementation of the 1443 H/2022 M Eid Prayer.

Meanwhile, Acting Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of North Maluku Province, H. Amar Manaf, explained regarding the Decree of the Minister of Religion Number 668 of 2022 concerning the determination of 1 Zulhijjah and the implementation of Eid Prayers 1443 H.

According to Amar, the Government through the Ministry of Religion has set 1 Zulhijjah 1443 H to fall on Friday July 1 2022, thus Eid Al-Adha 1443 H falls on 10 Zulhijjah 1443 H, or on Sunday, July 10 2022.

He added that his party had coordinated with the Regency/City Ministry of Religion to further coordinate with the Regents/Mayors in their respective Regencies/Cities regarding the determination of the implementation of Eid al-Adha 1443 Hijriah.
