JAKARTA - As many as 20 people are reported to have died in a bus crash that plunged into a ravine in southwest Pakistan, Sunday, July 3. The accident also left 13 people on the bus injured, said deputy commissioner of Sherani district, Ijaz Jaffar.

The bus was said to be on its way from the garrison town of Rawalpindi to Quetta, the capital of the southwest province of Balochistan. The ravine is about 350 kilometers north of Quetta.

Poor road conditions and reckless driving are often the cause of traffic accidents in Pakistan.

In Balochistan, there are a number of Chinese projects under an investment plan, which is part of Beijing's efforts to link trade with the world via land and sea transport.
