Takziah To Funeral Home, Jokowi: Mr. Tjahjo Kumolo Is A Calm And Simple Person

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo and Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo pay tribute to the funeral home of the late Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Tjahjo Kumolo at Minister Widya Chandra's complex, Jakarta, Saturday, July 2.

Reporting from Antara, the president and Mrs. Iriana arrived at 07.22 WIB and were greeted by the deceased's wife, Erni Guntarti, and their children, namely Rahajeng Widyaswari, Karunia Putri Pari Cendana, and their son-in-law Detri Warmanto.

The President and Mrs. Iriana then talked with the family of the deceased. After talking and praying for the deceased, President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana said goodbye and left the funeral home.

President Jokowi remembers the late Tjahjo Kumolo as a calm and simple person.

According to the Head of State, Tjahjo Kumolo is also an exemplary figure and a true nationalist.

"Pak Tjahjo is a calm and simple person. An exemplary figure and a true nationalist, who is full of integrity and faithfully devoted himself to the community, nation and state," said the President while delivering his condolences in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Friday evening July 1 .

Also accompanying the President and Mrs. Iriana during their pilgrimage were Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and Mrs. Endang Nugrahani.

Menpan RB Tjahjo Kumolo passed away on Friday at 11.10 WIB in Jakarta. Before the sad news came, the deceased had been treated at Abdi Waluyo Hospital since 20 June 2022 and his condition had improved.

Tjahjo was buried on Friday afternoon militarily at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery, South Jakarta.
