JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta canceled the trip of the Pangrango Train (KA) crossing Sukabumi - Bogor (PP) due to a landslide at KM 38+5 between Cibadak - Parungkuda Station.

"We apologize for the cancellation. Users of the Pangrango train service are advised to use other transportation alternatives," said Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 20.

Eva said that the landslide that closed the rail line occurred at around 4:42 p.m. WIB.

He said, for service users who had purchased tickets and were affected by the cancellation, they could return the ticket with a 100 percent replacement fee according to the ticket price.

The refund of ticket fees can be done at the counter of the nearest station that serves Pangrango train trips.

"The return process can be carried out for the next 14 days so that service users who have purchased tickets do not need to rush to the station for the cancellation process," he said.

Eva said that until now the PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta team has continued to make efforts to repair and sterilize the path from avalanches so that the train can return to the route.

Meanwhile, during the repair process, there were 2 train trips that were canceled, namely KA 217B for the Sukabumi - Bogor connection, scheduled for departure at 17.25 WIB and KA 214C for the Bogor - Sukabumi connection, scheduled for departure at 19:50 WIB.

Daop 1 Jakarta also appealed to Pangrango train service users to follow directions from officers at the station.

PT KAI is committed to prioritizing the safety and security of train travel.
