JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson of PAN Viva Yoga Mauladi emphasized that the appointment of PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan as trade minister did not have much effect on the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB).

It is known that all general chairmen of political parties (parties) in KIB are ministers in Joko Widodo's cabinet.

According to Viva, the existence of PAN chairman Zulkifli Hasan, Golkar chairman Airlangga Hartarto and PPP Suharso Monoarfa in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet proves that KIB is getting stronger.

He dismissed the analysis that states there is a coalition within the coalition.

"It's not like that. So KIB has nothing to do with the Advanced Indonesia cabinet, instead it must be responsible for improving the performance of the current government, because all KIB leaders are ministers in Jokowi's cabinet," said Viva in a virtual 'Cabinet Reshuffle Dramaturgy' discussion, Saturday 18 June .

Viva emphasized that Zulkifli Hasan's position as chairman of a political party preparing for the presidential election would not interfere with his duties as trade minister.

Because, he said, PAN itself has used a digitalization system to facilitate the general chairman's command.

"The chairman as a minister will not affect his responsibilities as chairman of the PAN. Because the chairman who is currently in the executive branch must comply with the law," explained Viva.

"Bang Zulhas as the head of the party in terms of organizational mechanisms in party management is all systemic through the digitalization process. This is PAN's commitment to become a modern political party that must enter the digital process. I don't think it will interfere with Bang Zulhas' work as the Minister of Trade," he concluded.
