TEMANGGUNG - The Explosives Disposal Team (Jhandak) of the Central Java Police Mobile Brigade exploded a pineapple grenade found at the house of a resident of Jampirejo Village, Temanggung Regency, the day before.

Temanggung Police Chief AKBP Agus Puryadi said on Monday (13/6) a resident of Jampirejo on behalf of Watini Megasari found a pineapple grenade and a number of ammunition in an iron box in his home warehouse.

On that day, the witness looked for his cat who had run towards the warehouse, but when he entered the warehouse he found objects in the form of pineapple grenades and ammunition in the iron box.

The condition of the found objects in the form of grenades is suspected to be still active and the pins are still attached, while some of the ammunition is rusty.

"According to information, it is possible that the object belonged to the late grandfather of Watini's husband, who was a member of the TNI," he said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 14.

Upon these findings, they then reported to the Temanggung Police and today the Police brought in the Jihandak Brimob team of the Central Java Police to evacuate and destroy it.

Disposal of the pineapple grenade took place in the rice fields of Guntur Village, Temanggung District, while a number of ammunition findings were secured by officers.
