BADUNG - Vespa bikers have filled the Lagoon Field area, Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali, to register for the 2022 Vespa World Days event.

The location for this World Vespa Day celebration will be held on Penisula Island, Nusa Dua, Bali, on Sunday 12 June. They were seen parking their motorbikes in the Lagoon Field parking lot.

Some also park their vehicles on the side of the road or in front of the Lagoon Field while taking shelter under a tree and waiting for other friends to register.

One of the Vespa bikers, Toni Hendarto (20) from Palangkaraya City, Central Kalimantan, said that to take part in the 2022 Vespa World Days, he and three colleagues departed from Palangkaraya on Monday (6/6).

"From Palangkaraya to Banjarmasin, the descent continues at the Port of Surabaya. The gas will continue to Gilimanuk Harbor, arriving in Bali on Wednesday, so it's a three-day journey," said Toni when met at Lagoon Field, Bali, Friday, June 10.

Toni said that during the trip, he experienced problems, namely his Vespa PB60 motorbike had its exhaust out in Sidoarjo, East Java, while driving. But it didn't take long and he fixed it right away.

In addition, during the trip, he and his friends often stop when they feel tired while driving.

"The exhaust came off in Sidoarjo. I, a group of four people, but thank God, I'm happy to have arrived in Bali," he added.

This is the first time he has been to Bali to take part in the 2022 Vespa World Days event. He estimates that the funds spent during the trip are IDR 5 million.

Meanwhile, while in Bali he looked for lodging around the South Kuta District.

"I ran out of funds of around Rp. 5 million. For round trips, my estimate is. If the terrain during the trip is normal, it's quite tired, if you are tired, you stop," he said.

"My goal is to join because I just want to. Because this is a rare event, the point is Vespa World Days," he said while laughing.

Meanwhile, Naim (30) vespa biker from Wonosobo, Central Java, also said that during the trip from Wonosobo to Bali there were no problems, only adding air to the tires if they felt flat.

He departed with three colleagues from Wonosobo on Sunday (5/6) by riding a 1974 Bajaj Vespa that he had long owned.

"Arriving in Bali on the 7th, it was a two day trip, so it was really fun while traveling with friends," he said.

During the trip, he had spent IDR 3 million on supplies. Arriving in Bali, he plans to stay at his brother's house.

"Staying at a relative's place, if not in nearby places under a tree, will also be on the side of the road. We hope that in the future this event will be more interesting and more active and just fun," he said.
