JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has prepared a traffic flow scheme ahead of the Formula E event in the Ancol area, North Jakarta. This scheme is only intended for VVIP viewers and guests.

"We only regulate the flow of spectators at the west and east gates of Ancol as well as at the Carnival gate for VVIP guests," said Director of Traffic for the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo when confirmed, Tuesday, May 31.

The VVIP guest in question is President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Jokowi plans to witness the international event firsthand.

In regulating traffic flow, as many as 1,700 personnel are on standby ahead of the arrival of President Jokowi.

The thousands of personnel will arrange for the trailer trucks, which pave the streets of North Jakarta every day, to stop for a moment until the president leaves the location.

Meanwhile, regarding the flow of traffic around Ancol, North Jakarta, said Sambodo, it has not yet been confirmed. The reason is, from the survey and mapping results, there is no need for a flow diversion scheme to be implemented.

"The results of the temporary survey do not require any diversion or closure of flows," said Sambodo.

For information, President Joko Widodo is scheduled to attend an invitation to watch the Formula E electric car race live at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) Ancol, Pademangan, North Jakarta on June 4.
