Denies PDIP-Ganjar Pranowo Relations Are Strained, Hasto: It's A Political Scenario Initiated By Other Parties

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the PDI-P Hasto Kristiyanto denied the issue of strained relations between his party and the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo.

The news of the estrangement began to blow after Ganjar was predicted to run as a presidential candidate (candidate) in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

Hasto emphasized that the party's relationship with Ganjar was not a problem. Even if there is news of estrangement, this is allegedly voiced by another party.

"Left, far, close, it's a perception that is a political scenario that was initiated by another party," Hasto told reporters in the East Parking area of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Central Jakarta, Friday, May 27.

He said Ganjar was a regional head who came from internal party processes. Likewise, the Governor of Bali I Wayan Koster and the Governor of North Sulawesi Olly Dondokambey.

Therefore, there is no estrangement as some have called it. Moreover, PDIP has just communicated with Ganjar along with other regional heads to hear their reports.

However, Hasto did not specify what the report meant. "Earlier, all the PDIP governors joined the report from the head of the secretariat, Mr. Koster, who participated, Mr. Olly Dondokambey, and Mr. Ganjar," he said.

Hasto also commented on the code from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) while attending the Projo National Working Meeting (Rakernas) some time ago. At that time, Jokowi asked his volunteers not to rush to support certain presidential candidates, including Ganjar who was present at the event.

According to Hasto, Jokowi did not give the code. However, this moment was used by the former Governor of DKI Jakarta to break the atmosphere in the meeting.

Moreover, in the process of nominating the president and his deputy, of course, it must be discussed within the internal party or coalition of parties.

"Pak Jokowi is ice breaking. In theory, communication is ice breaking. Ice breaking is ice breaking," he concluded.
