MAJALENGKA - An unidentified man came to a bank in Majalengka Regency, West Java, threatening bank employees to detonate a bomb.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, said the action took place at around 14.00 WIB. According to Ibrahim, the perpetrator asked a bank employee for Rp. 30 million.

"So the perpetrators threatened that if they were not given Rp. 30 million, they would detonate them with a bomb," said Ibrahim in Bandung, West Java, as reported by Antara, Monday, May 23.

After the action, security officers at the bank arrested the perpetrator and tied him to a pole in the Leuwimunding Square, Majalengka.

He confirmed that now police personnel have guarded the location of the bomb threat. Police are still investigating the identity of the perpetrator.

"No, there is no (name of the perpetrator), we are still investigating everything. Several things still need to be investigated," he said.
