JAKARTA - Russia is pounding Ukrainian troops with air and artillery strikes in the east and south, targeting command centers, troops, and ammunition depots, Russia's defense ministry said on Sunday.

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said air-launched missiles hit three command points, 13 areas where Ukrainian troops and military equipment were congregating, as well as four ammunition depots in Donbas.

"In the southern Ukrainian region of Mykolaiv, Russian rockets hit a mobile anti-drone system near the settlement of Hannivka, about 100 km northeast of the city of Mykolaiv," Konashenkov said.
