MEULABOH - Secretary of the Central Extortion Clean-Up Task Force, Inspector General of Police DR Agung Makbul invites all people in Aceh to dare to report any illegal levies that occur in the community, such as in public service facilities and law enforcement agencies.

"The public must have the courage to report extortion to the Saber Extortion (Satgas, ed.). Don't be afraid, they must have the courage to report it," said Inspector General of Police Agung Makbul in Meulaboh, Thursday 19 May.

Previously, he also disseminated Presidential Regulation Number 87 of 2016 concerning Saber Extortion, which took place in Meulaboh, the capital of West Aceh Regency.

He came to this area in order to fulfill the invitation of the Regent of Aceh Barat H Ramli MS.

According to him, all illegal levies that occur in the community must be reported, in order to get law enforcement, so that such disgraceful acts will no longer occur.

Agung Makbul said that people who know about the illegal levies can report extortion to the West Aceh Police, but if they don't get a response, the community can report it to the Aceh Regional Police.

However, if he doesn't get a response, he asks the public to report cases of illegal levies to him at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polhukam) RI in Jakarta.

On the other hand, he also praised the attitude of the people of West Aceh who had the courage to report illegal levies to the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, so that the issue immediately received a response from the government.

"Everything that is true, we must have the courage to report it to the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, we must be brave," he said, quoted by Antara.

He hopes that reports made by the public must be accompanied by evidence, so that later it does not become slander to others.

Inspector-General of Police Agung Makbul also said the Saber Extortion Task Force was under the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Machfud MD, because the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs is the person in charge and controller of the Saber Extortion Task Force in Indonesia.

He also acknowledged the problem of illegal levies that occurred in every region in the country, he also reported to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, every three months.

"Every three months I report to the President regarding the issue of illegal levies, up to the President, because I was entrusted with that (eradicating extortion)," said Agung Makbul.
