TANGERANG - The Tangerang District Health Office (Dinkes) has prepared several facilities to anticipate mysterious diseases such as acute hepatitis in its area.

The Head of the Health Services Division (Head of Health Services) at the Tangerang District Health Office, Dr. Faridz, said that he had prepared the Tangerang Regional General Hospital (RSUD) as a referral hospital for acute hepatitis cases.

"Such as isolation rooms are all available as hospital standards, then ICU rooms in some hospitals are also available," said Faridz when confirmed, Tuesday, May 17.

Faridz revealed that the handling process for cases of acute hepatitis transmission is the same as COVID-19. Therefore, he asked the puskesmas to the hospital to coordinate with each other, such as serving screening based on close contacts.

"If there are symptoms that are suspicious of exposure to hepatitis, then the examination is continued to the laboratory at the hospital," he said.

"This means that all health facilities from the puskesmas level to the hospital are ready," he added.

Previously conveyed, Spokesperson for COVID-19 Vaccination of the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) Siti Nadia Tarmizi invited the public to prevent the spread of acute hepatitis transmission through the application of a healthy lifestyle.
