MRT Extends Operational Hours To 23.00 WIB Starting Tomorrow

JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) has extended its operating schedule with services from 05.00 WIB to 23.00 WIB starting Wednesday (18/5), in line with the adjustment of PPKM Level 2 in Jakarta.

"In this regard, the policy for the Jakarta MRT operational time is Monday to Friday (working days) at 05.00 WIB to 23.00 WIB," said Corporate Secretary Division Head PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Rendi Alhial as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 17.

This adjustment to the operating schedule is a follow-up to the Decree of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Service Number 251 of 2022 concerning Technical Guidelines for Setting Transport Capacity and Operational Time of Transportation Facilities during the Level 2 Community Activity Restriction Enforcement Period.

Meanwhile, on holidays or weekends, Saturdays and Sundays, MRT services are opened at 06.00-23.00 WIB.

Previously, MRT operational time was only until 22.30 WIB.

There is also the departure distance between trains, namely every five minutes on weekdays during peak hours (7.00-9.00 WIB) and (17.00-19.00 WIB), and every 10 minutes outside peak hours and on weekends or holidays.

The MRT is also still implementing health protocols, such as wearing masks and asking service users to scan QR codes through the PeduliLindung application before entering the station area.
