Special Ramadan For Ganjar, Smooth Backflow And Controlled COVID-19

JAKARTA - Governor Ganjar Pranowo appreciates all security officers and the public for creating a conducive atmosphere in Central Java during Eid yesterday.

Ganjar admitted that he did not find any prominent incidents, let alone disturbing incidents such as acts of terrorism that occurred.

"I thank you for the support from the police and the TNI who were able to secure everything. Thank you to all the people who have helped," said Ganjar, Friday, May 13.

Ganjar assessed that the officers in the field had worked well in guarding the area. Security for the flow of homecoming and return flow has also been running smoothly to this day.

In fact, this year's Eid homecoming is very large. It is recorded that there are around 11.4 million homecomers who enter Central Java with a total of 1.7 million vehicles.

Ganjar said the phenomenon that occurred in this year's back and forth flow was that more vehicles from Central Java left the area during the return flow.

“(Vehicles) that come out more because they are taking their relatives, will come back later. There are still operations running so far to complete our tasks because yesterday some may have worked from home, some of whose children have not returned to their respective places," he said as in a written statement.

Ganjar said that this year's Eid is not only safe from the side of disturbing events, but also safe from the spread of COVID-19. It is proven that there are no additional extraordinary cases after Ramadan.

"Indications are not added. So there is a real possibility that herd immunity will occur or the vaccine is quite effective and because of (society) discipline. The endemic status only requires a (central government) statement. But the atmosphere is already endemic," he said.

On the other hand, Ganjar again reminded that vigilance should not decrease. Face-to-face learning is still carried out with health protocols, this is because the emergence of Mysterious Hepatitis overshadows the children.

"PTM just walk while we are on guard for those with hepatitis, especially children. But until now, there have been no extraordinary reports regarding this," said Ganjar.
