JAKARTA - The electability of Gerindra General Chair Prabowo Subianto, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan still ranks in the top three in a national survey of a number of survey institutions.

In the latest survey, the three took turns chasing each other to reach the top position.

Political observer from Al Azhar University Indonesia, Andriadi Achmad, said that in reality the public could read, the three 'winners' of this survey had unparalleled popularity and electability compared to other emerging candidates.

According to him, the three candidates who will have the opportunity to get tickets for the 2024 presidential candidate, apart from that, it is not yet known clearly and definitely the supporting party or coalition of the supporting parties.

"For example, Prabowo cannot be nominated only by the Gerindra party, but requires a coalition with other parties for presidential threshold requirements," Andriadi told VOI, Tuesday, May 10.

"Likewise, Anies, there is no political party that will definitely provide a support ticket. Moreover, Ganjar must compete with the PDIP Crown Princess Puan Maharani who is also considered to have a chance to run as a presidential or vice presidential candidate in 2024," he continued.

When it comes to the chances of winning from the trio of 'winners' in the survey, Andriadi said, all three have a balanced chance of winning. However, if you read about the most likely candidate, according to him, Anies Baswedan will win if he gets a ticket for a supporting political party.

"It is difficult for Prabowo to shine again in the 2024 presidential election, because Prabowo's golden opportunity and momentum to win the 2014 and 2019 battles has passed," said Andriadi.

The executive director of the Nusantara Institute Polcom SRC assessed that in the upcoming 2024 presidential election Prabowo would be considered a thing of the past. Not to mention that Prabowo has generally been left behind by his fanatical supporters in the 2019 presidential election. This is because Prabowo is included in the circle of power that incidentally is his political opponent.

"Meanwhile, Ganjar Pranowo, it will be difficult to gain sympathy from the PDI-P and Jokowi if it is not supported by the PDI-P," concluded Andriadi.
