JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo wants a limited meeting discussing food and energy to be held every week, because of the importance of these two things for national economic stability.

"I asked yesterday to the District Secretariat that every week, like we hold a limited meeting on PPKM, the same thing, food affairs, energy affairs must also be carried out weekly," the President said in his introduction to the Plenary Cabinet Session as reported by Antara, Monday, May 9.

The President emphasized that food and energy management is very important for economic stability, especially price stability and people's basic goods.

Jokowi reminded the ranks to be careful of global economic turmoil, because until now the war in Ukraine is still not over and shows signs of being prolonged.

Global uncertainty has also become increasingly uncertain as a result of the war and also due to America's more aggressive monetary policy in reducing inflation.

"This will cause a recession in many countries. Therefore, the macroeconomic management must really be followed in detail, and the micro-as well as all the ministries related to this, really also follow along and the main thing is related to food and energy, " he explained.
