JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has appointed former Minister of Research and Technology (Menristek) Bambang Brodjonegoro as Chairman of the Advisory Team for the Transition of the State Capital (IKN)

This team will later support the work of the transition team, chaired by the Head of the IKN Authority, Bambang Susantono.

This appointment was based on the Decree of the Minister of State Secretary (Kepmensesneg) Number 105 of 2022 concerning the Transition Team to Support the Preparation, Development, and Relocation of the State Capital which was signed by the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno on April 28.

"To support the transition team in ensuring the suitability of the implementation of the transition team's tasks with the policy direction and intended achievements, an advisory team was formed with the main task of providing advice to the transition team, whether requested or not by the transition team," reads Article 7 paragraph (1) of the Minister of State Secretariat quoted as saying on Friday, May 6th.

The following is the membership composition of the IKN transition advisory team:

Chairman: Prof. Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro, SE, M.UP., Ph.D.

Member:

a. Dr. Alue Dohong

b. Dr. Andrinof Chaniago

c. Dr. Isran Noor

d. Lydia Silvanna Djaman, SH, LL.M.

In Article 7 paragraph (3) it is stated that to appoint the implementation of the Advisory Team's duties, if deemed necessary, a separate secretariat can be established which is determined by the Head of the Transitional Team.

Funding for the transition team and advisory team will be charged to the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) through the State Secretariat Ministry's Budget Implementation List.

"The Transitional Team and the Advisory Team may be given an honorarium in accordance with the provisions of the legislation," reads Article 9.
