JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Water Resources, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) will provide support for water resources infrastructure (SDA) in the National Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago, namely the provision of raw water and flood control.

"Actually, our support is basically twofold, first, namely the provision of raw water and the other for flood control," said Director of Water Resources Systems and Management of the Directorate General of Natural Resources Birendrajana in a written statement quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 24.

According to him, for the supply of raw water, the Directorate General of Natural Resources will build the Sepaku Semoi intake which will be completed by the end of 2022, and another one is the Sepaku Semoi Dam which is expected to be completed in 2023.

Meanwhile, for flood control, the Directorate General of Natural Resources is in the process of finalizing the design, which will be auctioned immediately after the design is completed.

"We also have several assignments at IKN, for example the construction of reservoirs, there are 19 reservoirs. This is also in the process of finalizing the design," said Birendrajana.

The Mentawir Nursery is located in Mentawir Village, Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province. This nursery has an area of approximately 9 hectares with a seed production capacity of 15 million/year.
