Justin Bieber Concert At GBK November 3, DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Has Not Received Permission Application

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) stated that it has not received an application for permission from the promoter to hold a Justin Bieber concert on November 3.

"Until today, no application has been received for Justin Bieber's show," said Head of the Supervision and Control Section of DKI Disparekraf, Iffan when confirmed, Thursday, March 24.

Even though there is no permission, Iffan doesn't mind the promoter has been hyping about holding a Justin Bieber concert. Given, this is a form of promotion to attract people to watch.

"It's okay to advertise like that for promotion. As long as he hasn't got a permit, so long as the show is not legal, we can't say that it's legal," he explained.

Furthermore, Iffan said that usually, applications for permission to hold cultural arts activities that gather many people will enter three or two months before the event is held.

At that time, the DKI Disparekraf would conduct an assessment starting from considering adjustments to Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) rules, immigration, to crowd permits during the pandemic.

"Because of the pandemic, none of us can predict what the future will be like. For Eid, we don't know whether the trend of cases will increase, yes. So, the considerations must be mature," he concluded.

Audiences under the age of 14 are required to attend the concert with their parents. In addition, tickets sold cannot be refunded or returned for any reason unless canceled by the artist.
