Often Not On Target, DPRD Asks DKI Provincial Government To Tighten Supervision Of Grant Funds

JAKARTA - Commission A for the Administration of the DKI Jakarta DPRD highlighted the budget for granting funds allocated by the DKI National Unity and Political Agency (Kesbangpol) in the 2022 budget year budget.

This is because, said Deputy Chairman of Commission A of the DKI DPRD, Inggad Joshua, he stated that until now the use of grant funds for mass organizations, NGOs and political parties is often not well targeted.

Therefore, Inggad warned the DKI Kesbangpol to tighten supervision and be more selective in accepting applications for grant funds from an organization.

"At least minimize the misuse of grant funds. So that they remain united in this NKRI," Inggad was quoted as saying on the official website of the DKI DPRD, Wednesday, February 23.

Inggad also asked Kesbangpol to report the proposal for submitting grant funds received by the DKI Provincial Government before it was included in the budget. Including the articles of association (AD) and by-laws (ART) required by each organization.

“I also want the letter (grant application) to be copied to us (Commission A), so that we can clarify what form the proposal will take and how will it benefit. So that we know, because this is the money of the people of Jakarta who need to be accounted for," said Inggad.

It is known, from the recapitulation of the budget for the 2022 budget year, the DKI Kesbangpol Agency has allocated a ceiling for political party grants of IDR 27.25 billion and financial aid grants of IDR 13.65 billion.

The two budget ceilings will later take the form of a number of activities, such as seminars, gatherings, and socialization of national insight between organizations in collaboration with the Indonesian Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) as the supervisor at the central level.
