JAKARTA - The DKI High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) searched the Jakarta City Parks and Forest Service (Distamhut) office regarding the alleged corruption case in land acquisition or land mafia in Cipayung in 2018.

The chairman of the PIDP faction of the DKI DPRD, Gembong Warsono, assessed that the alleged corruption could occur due to weak supervision by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.

In fact, according to Gembong, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Inspectorate should have been able to monitor potential state losses in the procurement of the DKI Provincial Government program before handling the case by the DKI High Court.

"This can happen because of weak supervision, thus giving room for abuse of authority. Then, the inspectorate should have detected this first," said Gembong when contacted, Saturday, January 22.

Gembong admitted that his party supports the steps taken by the Attorney General's Office to prevent budget leakage and investigate allegations of corruption in land acquisition for forest parks, graves and Child Friendly Integrated Public Spaces (RPTRA) in the East Jakarta area.

"Because it has been investigated, we will leave it entirely to law enforcement officials, in this case the Attorney General's Office," he said.

Previously, the DKI Prosecutor's Office searched the office of the DKI Jakarta City Park and Forest Service. The search was related to the alleged corruption case of land acquisition in the Cakung area, East Jakarta in 2018.

"Investigators for the Special Crimes Division of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office conducted a search at the DKI Jakarta Provincial Parks and Forest Service office on Thursday, January 20, to find and collect evidence and carry out a confiscation," said Kasipenkum DKI Jakarta Prosecutor's Office, Ashari Syam.

Based on the results of the investigation, it was found that the DKI Jakarta Forestry Service had funds of around Rp. 326 trillion sourced from the APBD for land capital expenditure in the 2018 period.

The money was used for land acquisition for forest parks, graves and Child Friendly Integrated Public Spaces (RPTRA) in the East Jakarta area.

"That according to the facts of the investigation, in 2018 the DKI Jakarta Provincial Forestry Service had a budget for Land Capital Expenditure of Rp. 326,972,478,000," said Ashari.

However, in its implementation, the DKI Jakarta Forestry Service suspected an error in the land acquisition process. Where, when determining the purchase price is not based on the price of identical assets. This is not in accordance with the market data comparison method based on the Indonesian Appraisal Standard 106 (SPI 106).

"It is suspected that the price paid was too high, causing a loss to the state cq DKI Jakarta Provincial Government of approximately Rp. 26,719,343,153," said Ashari.
