Three Fugitives Beating Up TNI Members Have Been Arrested, Some Have Surrendered

JAKARTA - Three suspects in the case of Pratu Sahdi's persecution who was previously a fugitive have been arrested. They were the perpetrators of the stabbing and were involved in the beating.

"Yes, the ones that were announced yesterday (as DPOs, ed) have all been arrested", said the Director of General Crime Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Tubagus Hidayat, when contacted on Thursday, January 20.

The three suspects, namely Baharudin, were involved in the stabbing. Meanwhile, Ardi and Sapri were involved in the persecution.

"One helps ride, the other also beats. This is still deepening. It's just been an inspection", said Tubagus.

Then, one other person who previously had the status of being investigated has not yet become a suspect. However, the status may be upgraded soon.

"While it is still linked to a new arrest. He is being questioned as a witness", said Tubagus.

As previously reported, the police have arrested the suspect, Baharudin, who is the main perpetrator. He was secured in Muara Baru, North Jakarta, after surrendering.

In addition, the police also arrested another fugitive in the Penjaringan area, North Jakarta. However, his identity was not specified.

Meanwhile, in the case of the beating that occurred in the Pluit Reservoir area, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, the police have named six suspects. Including three people who became fugitives.

The suspects who have been arrested were charged with Article 170 regarding beatings and 351 of the Criminal Code concerning persecution.
