Executing Jokowi's Order, Minister Of Health Budi Inaugurates Medical Device Factory In Purwakarta

JAKARTA - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin inaugurated a medical device (alkes) factory in Nagrog Village, Kertamukti Village, Campaka District, Purwakarta Regency, Thursday, January 20.

"We have approached a number of changes in the world that could allow us to build factories in Indonesia," said Budi Gunadi during the inauguration of the medical equipment factory in Purwakarta, West Java, as reported by Antara.

He admitted that he had previously been ordered directly by President Joko Widodo to carry out a transformation in the health sector.

"One of them is that we are transforming the health defense system so that if another disaster or pandemic occurs, we will be ready," he said.

According to the Minister of Health, Budi, one of the most important aspects of the health system is end-to-end supply, namely local production of medical devices as well as test kits and medicines.

The newly inaugurated medical device factory is a factory under the management of PT Standard Biosensor Healthcare, in Kertamukti Village, Purwakarta. PT Standard Biosensor Healthcare is a company that manufactures in vitro diagnostic medical devices in the form of PCR diagnostic kits.

In accordance with the licensing mechanism that applies to the OSS system, all licensing mechanisms have been passed, starting from the Business Identification Number, September 2019 until the Building Construction Permit issued on May 5, 2020.

Purwakarta Regent Anne Ratna Mustika, who attended the inauguration activity, hoped that the existence of a factory that provided medical devices in Purwakarta would make it easier for the people of Purwakarta to obtain medical devices, without having to import them from abroad.

The Head of the Purwakarta Health Service, Deni Darmawan said, PT Standard Biosensor Healthcare is a company that produces medical devices that support the acceleration of handling COVID-19.
