JAKARTA - The State High School 6 Jakarta has tightened the health protocol for Face-to-face Learning (PTM) with a capacity of 100 percent which is planned to take place on Thursday tomorrow, to anticipate the spread of positive cases of COVID-19 in the school environment.

Deputy Principal of SMAN 6 Public Relations Unro said that one of the efforts made by the school was by spraying disinfectant in all classrooms.

"The school sprayed disinfectant. Yesterday the committee sent a technical team to inspect the classrooms, so this afternoon or until evening it has come down (spraying)," said Unro, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 19.

His party has also prepared a number of health protocol facilities at school entrances as an initial preventive measure.

"Our anticipation is maximum regarding efforts to suppress COVID-19 in this school, starting from washing hands, we have five temperature measuring booths so that there is no buildup," said Unro.

Limited face-to-face learning is planned to be held on Thursday, if the "Polymerase Chain Reaction" (PCR) swab test on 82 people shows negative results.

Unro said the test was a follow-up to the finding of a COVID-19 case from one of his students on Thursday, January 13.

"PTM has not (today) because it is still waiting for the results of the PCR test related to COVID-19 carried out on students, teachers and employees," said Unro.

Previously, the Kebayoran Baru District Health Center conducted a PCR swab test on 82 people consisting of 35 students of class XI, 41 educators, and six education staff.

"The 35 students came from a class where one student was positive for COVID-19," said Unro.

As a result, SMAN 6 was temporarily closed for five days from Friday, January 14 after one student from class XI MIPA 5 was confirmed to have COVID-19 from the family cluster.

Although PTM has been abolished since Friday, January 14, his party does not want to take the risk by starting PTM with 100 percent capacity because the results of the PCR test have not yet been released.

"So instead of hanging around there is no certainty, we decided today for distance learning," he said.
