DENPASAR - Denpasar Police Chief Kombes Jansen Avitus Panjaitan confirmed that British foreigner Harper Matthew (48) died of suicide, not murder.

The British Caucasian was known to have committed suicide after an autopsy was carried out and there was other evidence.

"From the evidence of suicide (the results of the examination) from the laboratory, autopsy and CCTV analysis," Jansen said when met at the Denpasar District Attorney's Office (Kejari), Bali, Wednesday, January 19.

Therefore, the Denpasar Police Chief dismissed the allegation that British Caucasians had been murdered. "It's suicide and valid suicide, we'll have a press conference later," he said.

It was previously reported that the body of British foreigner Harper Matthew (48) has been autopsied at the Sanglah Central General Hospital (RSUP), Denpasar, Bali. As a result, stab wounds were found on the victim's body.

Forensic Clinic Consultant at Sanglah Hospital, doctor Ida Bagus Putu Alit, said that Harper Matthew's body was autopsied this morning.

"So we did the autopsy at 9. Then, what I can inform you is that there was indeed sharp violence against the victim. There were two stab wounds to the neck and three stab wounds to the stomach. One of these stab wounds to the stomach caused death due to cutting a blood vessel. big one," said Alit, Monday, January 17.

Matt Harper Matteew was found dead at his residence in Denpasar Bali. It was originally called Harper's suicide.

However, British media reports, The Sun, informed that the victim died because he was allegedly murdered during a video call with his daughter in England.
