Allegedly Epilepsy Relapses, Black Ertiga Driver In Bogor Crashes 3 Cars And 2 Motorcycles

BOGOR – Suspected of having a seizure due to epilepsy, the driver of a black Suzuki Ertiga car lost control on Sudirman Street, Bogor City. As a result, as many as five vehicles consisting of three cars and two motorcycles were involved in a series of accidents.

"Our members arrived at the scene of the crime scene and the victim, in this case, the two drivers, was taken to the hospital," said Head of Traffic Unit of the Bogor City Police, Commissioner of Police Galih Apria, quoted Tuesday, January 18.

Galih also said that the accident started when one of the Suzuki Ertiga drivers with the initials MR with police number F 1622 LX drove his car from the Denpom intersection to the Air Mancur on Sudirman Street. Allegedly, at that time the driver of the Ertiga had a seizure due to epilepsy.

MR then became unconscious and lost control until his car swerved to the right and hit a Daihatsu Xenia numbered F 4794 DX which was driven by the driver with the initials IJ at around 7.30 western Indonesia time.

As a result, a series of accidents occurred because IJ's car also hit a Honda Beat motorcycle with license plate number F 4794 DQ driven by AA and a Honda Supra X 125 motorcycle numbered F 5445 JU driving a driver with the initials ATI.

The collision stopped after a Honda Supra X 125 numbered F 5445 JU also hit a parked Toyota Avansa car with license plate number F 1446 CZ.

According to Galih, two motorcycle riders were temporarily diagnosed with minor injuries and will be confirmed to return in the next two to three days.

"We will also make sure the MR driver has a driver's license or not, so why did such a collision point occur," said Galih.

Galih also emphasized that he had asked investigators to confirm MR's medical history regarding the truth of the epilepsy he was suffering from, or in fact there was negligence in driving due to lack of control.

"Initially, it was suspected that the driver of Ertiga had epilepsy. But instruct investigators to see if there is a health record for epilepsy, whether he has other negligence," he said.
