The victims, namely mother and child named Ni Luh Wardani (48) and Kadek Restini (9) have been missing since Saturday, January 15 afternoon, dragged by the swift current of the river.

"Until now, nothing has been found and searches are being carried out every day and now we are combing to the west on the beach and in the middle of the sea," said Head of Public Relations of the Buleleng Police, Iptu Gede Sumarjaya, Tuesday, January 18.

At the time of the incident, the victim took her son to cross the river to work. However, the victim was carried away by the swift current of the river which empties into the sea.
