Considered Successful In Fixing SOEs, Erick Thohir Gets Support To Become A 2024 Presidential Candidate From Volunteers In Ciamis

JAKARTA - Balad volunteer Erick Thohir declared SOE Minister Erick Thohir to run for the 2024 Presidential Candidate Exchange, in Ciamis Regency, West Java.

Secretary General of Balad Erick Thohir, Natsir Amir, revealed that one of the important reasons his party decided to declare Erick Thohir as a presidential candidate in 2024 was the importance of immediately finding a replacement for President Jokowi.

"Pak Jokowi's leadership has proven to bring about many changes in almost all sectors of the life of the nation and state," said Secretary General of Balad Erick Thohir, Natsir Amir, in a statement quoted by Antara, Sunday, January 16.

Natsir said the changes in question were starting from the basic foundation of infrastructure to building superior human resources towards Indonesia Gold 2045.

According to him, various successful achievements have been made by Erick Thohir in BUMN. With the spirit of transformation that unites a number of state-owned companies (holding), it is proven that in the first year of 2020, when managing SOEs during a great pandemic, they actually reaped a profit of IDR 30 trillion which was dedicated to the state.

In 2021, continued Natsir, after only nine months of running, SOEs were recorded to be the most successful in earning a profit of Rp. 61 trillion which was then used for the recovery of the national economy.

The day before, Balad Volunteer Erick Thohir also made a declaration in Manjalengka Regency, West Java, Saturday (15/1).

The declaration continues in Ciamis District, which is known as one of the districts with "rengk galuh" values, high Sundanese values.

According to Natsir, this value is still being felt today, embracing means respect, not being arrogant, and being humble. Rengkulu galuh is defined as an effort to respect and flatter the culture of the Galuh Tatar community, Ciamis Regency which is full of strong Sundanese philosophy.

The declaration was made in Ciamis, West Java, because the glorious history of the Pasundaan land is related to the successful history of King Siliwangi who led the Pajajaran Kingdom at that time.

According to Natsir, the Kingdom of Pajajaran experienced its peak of glory when it was led by Sri Baduga Maharaja. After uniting the two kingdoms, namely the Galuh Kingdom and the Sunda Kingdom. These two kingdoms were then united by Sri Baduga Maharaja who had the title of Prabu Siliwangi who was successful in his time.

"This means that Prabu Siliwangi views unification as very important. Now we know the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia as fixed, how the values of unity become absolute, that is the key to success towards an independent and sovereign country," said Natsir.

Likewise, Erick Thohir, Natzir said that promoting Freedom of Sovereignty in BUMN by carrying out a number of holdings or unification of BUMN companies has proven successful and has received many appreciations.

Therefore, said Natsir, Erick Thohir needs to continue President Jokowi's big agenda to make Indonesia an economically independent country.
